Essay                  up to 1500 words
Narrative           up to 3000 words
Poetry                 two pages

Formatting for text documents

  • MS Word compatible: Times New Roman
  • 12 font size,  pages numbered
  • All quotes and references must be accurately attributed – end notes
  • All scripture quotes need to be identified by translation and the version you use must be proofed against BibleHub.com for exact wording and punctuation. Must provide the URL from Bible Hub that you used to verify your version and wording for our editors.
  • Title and author on each page header

Non-text submissions

We also invite royalty-free photos, graphics or artwork.

  • Must provide the source for any photos/graphics/artwork included in your submission, including attribution and URL of the source unless it is your own work.
  • Stand-alone artwork should be accompanied with a title and/or written explanation that links to the working title Seeing Christ in Christmas.
  • We reserve the right to exclude graphics that prove to be too difficult to format for publication
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: CC Writers Fellowship LLC retains Right of First Publication for material submitted for the 2025 CCWF Anthology. The editorial group reserves the right to edit all submissions. Submission does not guarantee publication. Decisions of the editorial group are final.

Author Bio

Submission(s) should be accompanied by a recent digital picture and a short bio of no more than 50 – 60 words, please limit media links to 2 URLs. (suggestion: website and 1 social media)

Works must be original. No AI-generated material will be accepted.

Style Sheet for Copy Editing

SUBMISSIONS DUE – July 14, 2025

Checklist:

  • Title bolded and centered. No indention in first paragraph of narrative writing.
  • Otherwise, indent each paragraph .5 inches.
  • Just one space after the punctuation at end of sentence. One space after colon.
  • Capitalize proper names of God, but lowercase pronouns.
  • Capitalize Bible but lowercase biblical.
  • Capitalize Scripture, Word, Bible when related to the Bible as a whole, but lowercase scriptures.
  • Possessive of Jesus – Jesus’
  • Author bylines at the end like this: — Jane Smith
  • Scripture references: do not abbreviate book titles.
  • For direct verse quotes, reference should be in parentheses after closing quote, which also includes ending punctuation, and include Bible version abbreviation. Like this: “Bible verse text.” (Mark 14:1-5, ESV)
