About CCWF
Our story
Capital Christian Writers Fellowship (CCWF) is the merger of two local writers groups: Capital Christian Writers and Northern Virginia Christian Writers Fellowship. In 2019, we combined the best from both groups into a new organization.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: To encourage one another in our writing endeavors and to educate writers, both fiction and nonfiction, on the craft and business of writing.
Meetings
We have quarterly meetings locally with a time of education plus an hour for fellowship and networking. During times of shutdown, our quarterly meetings are held online. In months without a local meeting, we offer a webinar where we can meet online and learn from experienced professionals. Quarterly meetings are held on Saturday mornings and the webinars will be offered on a weeknight. We also offer a writers conference about every 18 months in January and September.
Nonprofit Status
CCWF is a nonprofit organization run by a Board of Directors, which are members of good standing. The board consists of the three officers plus the chair of the Technology committee.

Statement of Faith
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.
We believe that “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life” and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).We believe that salvation cannot be found in any other, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”
We believe that the only hope for man is to believe on Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, Who died to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of mankind, and Who rose from the dead so that by receiving Him as Savior and Lord, man is redeemed by His blood.
We believe that Jesus Christ in person will return to earth in power and glory.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received Christ for the purpose of enabling them to live righteous and godly lives, and that He empowers them for ministry.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all those who through belief in Christ have been spiritually regenerated by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The mission of the church is worldwide evangelization on the one hand and the nurture and discipling of Christians on the other.
“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.”
Zechariah 4:6 NIV
