Katherine holds a BA in English & Secondary Education from Virginia Tech and a MEd, specializing in Gifted Education from Mary Washington University. She is married with two grown sons and three grandsons. Her father retired from the Air Force after almost 22 years, during which time Katherine lived in eight states all around the USA. She taught school for 12 years in Fauquier County Public Schools (5th, 6th & 8th grades).
Katherine has worked as a book editor and authored A Warrenton Christmas Adventure. She co-authored Twas the Night Before Christmas in the County of Fauquier, Twas the Night Before Apple Blossom and Richard Norris Brooke: A Biographical Sketch of an American Artist. Her newest book, Springtime Strawberries, is a collaboration with co-author Nichole Brown.
The next writing projects are a Bible study for families, editing a historical book, revising a published story, and co-authoring two more children’s books.
Additionally, she has helped develop and write a Sunday School & Children’s Church curriculum for 1st-4th grades, as well as taught Sunday School, directed Vacation Bible School and served as church secretary. Currently, Katherine co-leads a women’s Bible study, and partners with Prayer team and the AV team.
Katherine loves to read, write, quilt, bake and spend time with family.
